On the evening of March 31st, the colorful lights from the LGBTQ+ solidarity luncheon were still on in the Harvest cafeteria. A supportive and content crowd of students, teachers, and parents cheered and clapped for the performers. This was the first Coffee House Concert.
The audience was supportive and engaged. If they weren’t clapping and/or cheering, they were giving their silent attention to those who were performing.
Harvest’s dancers moved with speed and grace.
Naeemah Miller, junior, performed some solos during the Glee Club performance.
For this Coffee House, Colin and his students decided to do something a little extra. The glee club’s performance took on a Disney-musical theme, playing clips from a Disney movie before doing a cover of the song in the following scene.
Emily Leon, senior, shared the stage with Alissa Vargas, junior, and Jack Walsh, junior.
Miles Cederquist, junior, played and sang an original composition.
Harvest’s jazz band performed their first set with their new line-up.

Roxanna Ruedas, sophomore, performed a particularly passionate poem about empathy and society.
Colin McGrath took on many roles — host, accompanist, and teacher.
